Looking Glass Falls
Easy, no hike, paved parking.
DIRECTIONS:
From the Pisgah Visitor Center, make a right and head north on 276 for 4.1 miles.
At the split in the road, continue right and look for a long, narrow, paved parallel
parking area on the right. There’s a large picture area at the top, but for optimum
viewing head down the flight of stairs to the base of the falls.
Moore Cove Falls
DIRECTIONS:
1.5-miles roundtrip, viewing deck, little elevation gain.
From the Pisgah Visitor Center, make a right and head north on 276.
Drive past Looking Glass Falls for one mile and look for a long parking area on the
right next to Looking Glass Creek.
Head towards the info sign and across the bridge, up the flight of stairs and keep
on the path.
Log Hollow Falls
1-mile hike, off the beaten path, fewer people.
DIRECTIONS:
From the Pisgah Visitor Center, make a right and head north on 276.
Continue past Looking Glass Falls on 276 for approximately 6 miles,
take a left onto 475B. Take that gravel road approximately 2 miles until
you encounter a sharp left-hand curve.
Park on the right side where you see a Forest Management sign and a gate.
Take the logging road for a half-mile and the falls will be immediately
after the second small bridge.
Slick Rock Falls
Very small walk, off the beaten path, fewer people.
DIRECTIONS:
From the Pisgah Visitor Center, make a right and head north on 276 for
approximately 4 miles where the road appears to split.
Take the left split onto FS 475 and away from 276.
Drive 1.5 miles and bear right onto the gravel logging road FS 475B.
Drive for 1.1 miles and look for a slender parking area on the right at a sharp
left-hand turn in the road.
Use the rock stairs to ascend the trail and take a short walk to the falls.

WATERFALLS ALONG THE 276 CORRIDOR
WARNING!
The Pigsah National Forest is abound with spectacular waterfalls, but please use caution.
Remember to stay on the trails and do not attempt to climb the waterfalls or surrounding
rocks. The falls are beautiful, but not worth your life! For your safety, please obey all
warning and posted signs. Observation decks, located near many of the waterfalls, offer the
best vantage point for viewing or photographing. Most of all, we hope you enjoy your visit!
Daniel Ridge Falls
1-mile hike, 110-foot waterfall, very scenic area
DIRECTIONS:
From the Pisgah Visitor Center, make a right and head north on 276 for
approximately 4 miles where the road appears to split.
Take the left split onto FS 475 and away from 276.
Drive 3.9 miles on FS 475 (the last .7 mile will change over to a gravel road).
Cross a one-car concrete bridge and park in the area to the right just after the bridge.
Walk around the brown gate, over the large foot bridge, and make a right at the split
where you see a wooden waterfall sign.
Continue for .4-mile and the falls will be on the left.

The Pisgah Visitor Center is located four miles outside of Brevard, NC,
and about two miles into Pisgah National Forest on Hwy. 276 North.

Hwy. 276 North, 4 Miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway at Mile Marker 412.
